Nicholas Liverpool

Nicolas Joseph Orville Liverpool (born September 9, 1934 in Grand Bay , † June 1, 2015 in Miami , Florida ) was a Dominican politician (non-party). He was President of Dominica from 2003 to 2012 .

He entered the University of Hull in 1957 and received his Bachelor of Laws in 1960 . In 1965, after successfully completing his studies at the University of Sheffield, he received the Ph.D.

In 1998 he was declared Dominica's ambassador to the United States and held that office until 2001.

From October 2, 2003 to September 17, 2012 he was President of Dominica. After he resigned for health reasons, Eliud Williams succeeded him in office.
