Sir Louis Cools-Lartigue , OBE (born January 18, 1905 , † August 21, 1993 ) was a Dominican politician.

Until 1955, Cools-Lartigue was the Chief Secretary of the Windward Islands . On May 9, 1955 he received a commission from George F. Holsten which appointed him Governor's Deputy .

From November 1967 to November 3, 1978, Cools-Lartigue was the last governor of Dominica. In 1968 he was knighted as a Knight Bachelor ("Sir") . He was then named Interim President and served in that capacity from November 3, 1978 to January 29, 1979, when Fred Degazon was elected President of Dominica . Degazon fled to England on June 10, 1979 during a constitutional crisis and Cools-Lartigue was re-elected by the House of Assembly (June 15, 1979). Cools-Lartigue, however, resigned the following day. He had received both family pressure and threats from rioting opponents. He was succeeded by Jenner Armor .
