Julian Treumann

Julian Treumann (born December 24, 1841 in Ratibor , Upper Silesia , † August 17, 1910 in Hanover , Lower Saxony ) was a German chemist .

Life

Julian Treumann was the son of Moritz Treumann and Amalie Bruck. In 1864 in Breslau ( Lower Silesia ) he was awarded Dr. phil. PhD . His dissertation was on "De alkalinarum terrarum quibusdam salium decompositionibus adumbratis Bergmani et Bertholleti de affinitate doctrinis" (Breslau 1864).

In 1870 he opened his own chemical-technical laboratory in Hanover. From 1877 to 1880 he worked there as a private lecturer at the Polytechnic School in Hanover .

Later he founded a chemical research institute and from 1883/1884 taught chemical technology at the Hanover City Commercial School.
