Juliane Timmermann (born March 15, 1976 in Hamburg ) is a German SPD politician and a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and politics

Juliane Timmermann completed her studies as an elementary and middle school teacher with the subjects mathematics and sport and works as a teacher in Hamburg.

Juliane Timmermann has been a member of the SPD since 1996. From 2004 to 2008 she sat in the Wandsbek district assembly and was a member of the committee for social urban development. In February 2008, she was in the state election on the constituency Wandsbek move as deputies to the Hamburg Parliament. She is the spokeswoman for the field of sport for her parliamentary group and also sits on the interior committee, the sports committee, the committee for parliamentary control of the Senate in the field of the protection of the constitution and the commission for the implementation of the law on the restriction of the secrecy of letters, mail and telecommunications. She was a member of the G20 special committee. In the 2011 mayor elections , she again entered the citizenry via the Wandsbek constituency, and via the state list (person) in the 2015 and 2020 mayor elections .

Her mother Karin Timmermann was also a member of the citizenry from 2004 to 2015.
