Julie Hastrup

Julie Hastrup (* 1968 in Ringkøbing ) is a Danish journalist and writer . She is one of the most successful Danish crime writers.

Life

Hastrup graduated from the Danish Journalism College and worked, among other things, for the Danish television station TV 2 and the public radio station Danmarks Radio . In 2009 she made her debut with the thriller Retaliation , which was the prelude to a previously seven-part crime series about investigator Rebekka Holm and reached number 2 on the Danish bestseller list. Her favorites among crime writers are Swedes Håkan Nesser , Karin Alvtegen and Åsa Larsson, as well as the Englishman Simon Beckett .

Hastrup lives in Copenhagen , is married and has two children.
