Karin Anna Alvtegen (born June 8, 1965 in Huskvarna , Småland ) is a Swedish writer and screenwriter.

Live and act

She is a great niece of the Swedish children's book author Astrid Lindgren . She has been working in the film industry since 1985, most recently as a screenwriter. After Peter Høeg and Henning Mankell , she received the most important Swedish crime prize, Glasnyckeln, for her detective novel The Fleet . In 2008 she won the Danish Palle Rosenkrantz Prize for her novel Schatten , published the previous year . Her books have been published in over 30 countries so far.

Alvtegen now lives in Stockholm .
