Julien Faubert (born August 1, 1983 in Le Havre ) is a French football player who plays for Martinique .
Career
society
Faubert's professional career began in 2002 at AS Cannes . After two seasons and 45 games (2 goals), he moved to Girondins Bordeaux for the 2004/05 season . Already in the first season with the Hafenstädter he developed into a firm support and became a regular player in the "dark blues". For the 2007/08 season he moved to West Ham United for € 9.15 million . Faubert was injured on the Achilles' heel in a preparatory game for the league against the Czech representative SK Sigma Olmütz . This resulted in a six month hiatus. In January 2008 he made his comeback for the West Ham reserve team. In the same month, on January 12, 2008, he was able to celebrate his debut in the Premier League when he was used shortly before the end against Fulham FC . In addition to seven appearances in the league, there was another in the FA Cup . In total, he played eight games in his first season for the Hammers . Many injuries shaped his first year in England and he was unable to build on previous performances. In January 2009 he was loaned to Real Madrid until the end of June , but the purchase option was not drawn.
For the 2012/13 season he agreed with the Turkish first division club Elazığspor . He left this club during the winter break of the 2012/13 season and moved to Girondins Bordeaux.
In February 2016 Faubert signed a contract with the Scottish first division club FC Kilmarnock .
National team
Faubert went through some of France's youth teams before he made his debut on August 16, 2006 in the squad of the French national team . The opponent at that time was the selection of Bosnia-Herzegovina . In the same game he was able to score the 2-1 winner. So far he has not been considered for the national team. (Status: May 2007) From 2014 Faubert played for Martinique . In October 2014 he made his debut in the Gold Cup qualification.
