Julien Nkoghe Bekalé (born August 23, 1958 in Libreville ) is a Gabonese politician who is currently Prime Minister of Gabon . After an attempted coup , he was appointed Prime Minister by President Ali Bongo Ondimba on January 12, 2019 .

Career

Bekale is a member of the Parti Démocratique Gabonais . He has held ministerial posts with both Ali Bongo and Omar Bongo , including Minister for Oil, Gas and Hydrocarbons in 2009 and Transport and Equipment in 2011.

After taking office as Prime Minister Emmanuel Norbert, Bekale appointed Tony Ondo Mba as the new energy minister, but made no further changes to the government. He made the announcement when he his full Government on 12 January 2019 Rabat ( Morocco appointed).
