Life

He studied in France . He was appointed to the Cabinet as Minister for Urban Development and the Economy in 1986, where he was given responsibility for structural adjustment and relations with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank . In 1992 he was appointed General Director of the Economy and remained in this position, while maintaining responsibility for structural adjustment until 1994. He then worked as General Director of Hévégab , a state-owned natural rubber company, from 1994 to 1998.

He was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development on October 17, 2009. In the parliamentary elections in December 2011 , in which the ruling Parti Démocratique Gabonais (PDG) won an overwhelming majority of the seats, he was elected to the National Assembly as a candidate for Kyé in the Woleu-Ntem province.

Prime Minister Paul Mba Biyoghe resigned on February 13, 2012. President Ali Bongo appointed him Prime Minister on February 27, 2012. His appointment was considered noteworthy as the post of Prime Minister has traditionally been filled with an ethnic catch from the Estuaire Province , while he is from the Woleu-Ntem Province , although he is also a catch. Before his appointment, he was not considered a particularly important figure on the political stage. On January 24, 2014 President Bongo appointed the previous Vice President of the National Assembly Daniel Ona Ondo as the new head of government.
