Yulia Dmitrievna Abakumovskaya
Julija Dmitrijewna Abakumowskaja ( Russian Юлия Дмитриевна Абакумовская ; born May 3, 1942 in Kuibyshev , Soviet Union ) is a Russian opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).
Life
Abakumowskaja studied from 1962 to 1967 at the Lunacharsky Institute in Moscow . Through the cultural organization Moskonzert, she came to the Stanislavsky and Nemirowitsch-Danchenko Music Theater , where she made her stage debut in 1970 in the leading role of the street singer in La Périchole by Jacques Offenbach . Numerous opera roles and operetta roles followed, in some cases also roles in the soprano range . She has been a member of the ensemble there since the New Opera was founded in Moscow.
