Julika Brandestini

Julika Brandestini (* 1980 in Berlin ) is a German literary translator .

Life

After graduating from high school, Julika Brandestini studied cultural studies at the University of Frankfurt an der Oder from 2001 to 2006 . She completed semesters abroad at universities in Italy , Spain and France and graduated in 2006 with a degree in cultural studies. She then did an internship and a traineeship in various publishing houses . She has been working as a freelance translator and publisher's editor since 2008 .

Julika Brandestini translates literary texts from Italian and English into German . In 2011 she received the German-Italian Translator Award for young talent .
