Julio Ardiles Gray

Julio Ardiles Gray (born May 6, 1922 in Monteros , Tucumán Province , † August 19, 2009 ibid) was an Argentine teacher and writer.

Ardiles Gray attended the teacher training college in his home country and after successfully completing his studies worked as a teacher in the province of Tucumán for more than twenty years. In 1943, together with Raúl Galán and María Elvira Juárez , he founded the literary association “ La Carpa ”. This group, which soon established its own publishing house, soon played an important role in literary and social life in northeast Argentina.

As a freelancer, Ardiles Gray wrote for the newspapers “ La Gaceta ”, “ La Nación ” and later also for “ La Opinión ”.

Julio Ardiles Gray died at the age of 87 on August 19, 2009 in Monteros, where he found his final resting place.
