Julius "Jul" Olaissen Braathe (born March 4, 1874 in Trøgstad , † July 8, 1914 in Kolbotn ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .
successes
Julius Braathe took part in two Olympic Games and the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 . In the latter, he won the silver medal in a three-position fight with the free rifle in the team competition together with Ole Holm , John Møller , Gudbrand Skatteboe and Albert Helgerud . In 1908 he was in London in this discipline in the team competition before Sweden and France Olympic champion . In addition to Braathe, the winning team also included Ole Sæther , Gudbrand Skatteboe, Olaf Sæter , Albert Helgerud andEinar Liberg . In the singles he was sixth. Four years later he finished the individual competitions in Stockholm with the army rifle in 15th and with the free rifle in 29th place.
