Gudbrand Gudbrandsen Skatteboe (born July 18, 1875 in Øystre Slidre , † April 3, 1965 there ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .

successes

Gudbrand Skatteboe took part in three Olympic Games and the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 . In the latter, he won the silver medal in a three-position fight with the free rifle in the team competition together with Ole Holm , John Møller , Albert Helgerud and Julius Braathe . In 1908 he was in London in this discipline in the team competition before Sweden and France Olympic champion . In addition to Skatteboe, the winning team also included Ole Sæther , Albert Helgerud, Olaf Sæter , Julius Braathe and Einar Liberg . Four years later he secured the silver medal in a three-position battle with the team in Stockholm , this time with the army rifle. Together with Albert Helgerud, Ole Sæther, Østen Østensen , Olaf Sæter and Einar Liberg, he took second place behind Sweden and ahead of Denmark. He also received a medal at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp . In the three-position fight with the free rifle, he won the silver medal in the team competition with Otto Olsen , Albert Helgerud, Olaf Sletten and Østen Østensen.

Skatteboe spent five years as a lawyer in Christiania and two others in England before setting up his own financial brokerage business in 1905. In 1922 he was appointed General Manager of Christiania Industrial and Commercial Bank .
