Olaf Sæter (born January 7, 1872 in Hedmark , † November 1, 1945 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .

successes

Olaf Sæter took part in the Olympic Games in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 . In 1908 he finished ninth in the individual with the free rifle in the three-position fight, while he was Olympic champion in the team competition . In addition to Sæter, the winning team also included Albert Helgerud , Gudbrand Skatteboe , Ole Sæther , Julius Braathe and Einar Liberg . Four years later he finished the individual competition, this time with the army rifle, in 18th place. The team was enough to win the silver medal: together with Gudbrand Skatteboe, Ole Sæther, Albert Helgerud, Østen Østensen and Einar Liberg, he finished second behind Sweden and ahead of Denmark. With the army rifle at the 600 m distance in any position, he did not get beyond the 60th place.
