Østen Østensen (born August 12, 1878 in Drammen , † December 21, 1939 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .

successes

Østen Østensen took part in the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 and in Antwerp in 1920 . In 1912 he finished 23rd in the individual in a three-position battle with the army rifle, while he won the silver medal with the team. Together with Gudbrand Skatteboe , Ole Sæther , Albert Helgerud , Olaf Sæter and Einar Liberg , he finished second behind Sweden and ahead of Denmark. Eight years later he competed in eight disciplines and won a medal in four of them. In the three-position fight with the free rifle, he won the bronze medal in the individual behind Morris Fisher and Niels Larsen and also secured the silver medal in the team competition with Otto Olsen , Gudbrand Skatteboe, Albert Helgerud and Olaf Sletten . Even with the army rifle over 300 and 600 m in the prone position , he took second place alongside Otto Olsen, Jacob Onsrud , Albert Helgerud and Olaf Sletten. He finished the team competition with the small bore rifle in a standing position with Sigvart Johansen , Anton Olsen , Albert Helgerud and Olaf Sletten in third place, with which he won the bronze medal.
