Julius Hildebrand

Georg Friedrich Julius Hildebrand (born April 8, 1804 in Münden , † December 23, 1878 in Göttingen ) was a German Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Göttingen .

Life

Hildebrand was a son of the wholesale merchant Johann Christian Hildebrand in Münden. After studying theology, he became second seminary inspector in Hanover , in 1830 second pastor (chaplain) at St. Blasii Church in Münden and in 1839 first pastor at St. Jacobi Church in Göttingen. From 1866 to 1878 he was also Superintendent General of the General Diocese of Göttingen.
