Julius Kost

Julius Kost (* 1807 in Meißen ; † June 16, 1888 in Düsseldorf ) was a German painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Kost studied painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . From 1840 to 1843 he was a student in Johann Wilhelm Schirmer's landscape class . He was also a member of the Malkasten artists' association . Kost, who worked as a painter in Düsseldorf, created landscapes , cityscapes and genre pictures .
