Julius Theodor Engel

Julius Theodor Engel (born January 15, 1807 in Berlin , † November 28, 1862 in Bromberg ) was a German judge and parliamentarian .

Life

Engel attended the Joachimsthal Gymnasium in Berlin and then studied law at the universities in Berlin and Rostock. After the first exam he became a trainee lawyer at the Supreme Court and after the second exam he was first a judge in Kulm in West Prussia and in 1844 an assessor at the Marienwerder district government . Most recently, he was a judge of appeal at the court of appeal in Bromberg.

Parliamentarians

Engel was elected as a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly in 1848/1849 as the successor to the MP Eduard Henning for the Prussian constituency 24 ( Thorn ) , where he joined the casino faction . Later he was a member of the Prussian state parliament .
