Julius von Weltzien

Julius von Weltzien (born August 10, 1881 in Berlin ; † 1955 ) was a German lawyer and manager .

Life

Julius von Weltzien came from the Mecklenburg prehistoric noble family Weltzien . After visiting the Ludwig George High School in Darmstadt he studied at the Universities of Geneva , Göttingen and Marburg law . In 1902 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia in Göttingen . After completing his studies, he completed his legal clerkship in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe , Hanover and Frankfurt am Main . In October 1909 he passed the court assessor exam . Subsequently, until the outbreak of the First World War, he was in charge of the metal company in Frankfurt am Main, interrupted by a one-year activity in 1912 and 1913 at the Compagnie des Minerais in Liège .

During the First World War he took part as a reserve officer in the Jäger Regiment on Horses No. 6 and in the Infantry Regiment No. 426. For his achievements he received both classes of the Iron Cross and the Warrior Medal of Honor in Iron .

After the end of the war, von Weltzien was the syndic of the Metallbank und Metallurgische Gesellschaft AG in Frankfurt. In October 1920 he became general adviser to the government commissioner for the supervision of imports and exports. At the same time, as a government councilor in the Reich Service, he was head of the seizure department of the main investigation department of the Reich customs administration . In April 1923 he resigned from service in the Reich and became the syndic of Getreide-Kreditbank AG in Berlin, which was founded that year. In September 1924 he became director and board member of the Getreide-Industrie & -Commission AG in Berlin. He was a member of the German Men's Club .

Weltzien was a knight of honor of the Order of St. John .
