June McCall

June McCall (born July 27, 1934 in Los Angeles , United States as Wilhelmina June Palinkas ; † April 14, 1990 ) was an American photo and pin-up model. She also appeared as an actress .

Career

The Varga girl June McCall stood in front of the camera for photographers such as André de Dienes , Bernard of Hollywood and  Tom Kelley from the early 1950s . McCall appeared on the covers of numerous magazines such as Bold , Frolic , MAN , Male Point , Modern Man or Blighty , and according to well-known Hollywood columnist Jimmie Fidler there were a good 300 covers. In 1952 she was the Dale of the Month in the National Police Gazette . In 1951 she appeared in a revue by Gypsy Rose Lee in Las Vegas . McCall also showed ambitions as an actress, but her involvement in films was limited to small supporting roles. In 1960 she was also featured on television in an episode of Incredible Stories . She met with more interest from society reporters, her romances with the former child star Jackie Coogan or Charles Chaplin junior filled the gossip columns.

June McCall was married three times, their first marriage having a son. In the early 1950s she had an affair with married actor and womanizer George Raft . She died in her Los Angeles home when she was only 55.
