Tom Kelley (photographer)
Tom Kelley (born December 12, 1914 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † January 8, 1984 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American photographer who photographed famous Hollywood celebrities in the 1940s and 1950s .
Kelley was best known for his 1949 nudes of Marilyn Monroe , which later became legendary. One of the photos from this series was published worldwide as a calendar photo and graced the first issue of Playboy magazine in 1953 .
