Positions

The young green liberals want a sustainable Switzerland that also enables future generations to live in an environment. You are therefore committed to an energy transition towards renewable energies and the protection of biodiversity .

You have the idea of a Switzerland that recognizes and promotes its strengths. That is why they advocate a liberal economic policy that promotes competition, innovation and entrepreneurship. They also support an opening towards Europe in terms of foreign policy .

Furthermore, the party orients its liberalism to the individual and therefore advocate not only a liberal economy, but also a liberal society. Equal rights and opportunities for the sexes and lifestyles are a basic requirement for this. For example, they support the opening of marriage to homosexual couples and protect religious freedom by fighting a burqa ban . Another point in their party program is the regulated legalization of cannabis . The control is too much effort and the profit that the state could make should flow into old-age and survivors insurance in Switzerland.

The party sees social sustainability as important prerequisites for a functioning society. You are therefore committed to a fair social policy in which solidarity and personal responsibility are enforced, but which also bring benefits for future generations.
