Bryant Searcy Junior (born May 21, 1996 in Ludwigsburg ) is a German - American basketball player .

career

Searcy, whose mother was born and raised in Germany and whose father was stationed in Germany as a member of the US armed forces , played basketball as a teenager at the Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School in Tampa ( Florida, USA ) Winger to Northern Arizona University in the first NCAA division. In 2016, Searcy returned to Florida and played for the Saint Leo University team in the second NCAA division. By the end of the 2018/19 season, Searcy, who has the same first name as his father and was given the nickname Junior for the purpose of differentiation, had made 70 appearances for the university team and had averages of 10.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per encounter.

In the summer break of 2019, Searcy signed his first contract as a professional basketball player with the newly promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA , the Wiha Panthers Schwenningen . At the beginning of December 2019, he returned to the United States after a torn knee ligament, up until then he had scored an average of 2.3 points in nine league games for Schwenningen.
