Jupiter Island is a barrier island on the east coast of the US state Florida in the Atlantic Ocean .

Jupiter Island stretches from north to south for about 30 km and is rarely more than a kilometer wide. The largest, northern part belongs to Martin County , while the smaller part to the south belongs to Palm Beach County .
The island is part of the municipalities of Jupiter Inlet Colony and Tequesta (Palm Beach) and the city of the same name, Jupiter Island (Martin).
County Road 707 runs almost its entire length and leads over two bridges in the north and south over the Intracoastal Waterway to the mainland.
