Jupiter Inlet Colony is a city in Palm Beach County in the US state of Florida with 400 inhabitants (as of 2010).

geography

The city is located about 25 km north of West Palm Beach on the southern tip of Jupiter Island at the confluence of the Loxahatchee River in the Atlantic Ocean .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 400 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 236 households. The population density was 666.7 inh / km². 95.5% of the population identified themselves as whites and 0.8% as Asian Americans . 0.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.5% to several ethnic groups. 1.3% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 18.8% of all households and people aged 65 and over in 52.5% of all households. 71.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.21 people and the average family size was 2.62 people.

19.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 8.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 26.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 45.6% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 57 years. 47.0% of the population were male and 53.0% were female.

The median annual income was $ 96,250, with 0.5% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.

The crime rate in 2010 was 51 points (US average: 266 points) in the low range. There was one assault and three break-ins.
