Royal Palm Beach is a municipality in Palm Beach County in the US state of Florida with 34,140 inhabitants (as of 2010).

West Palm Beach is about 15 kilometers east of the community . The community area is crossed by US Highways 98 and 441 and Florida State Roads 7 , 80 and 700 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 34,140 inhabitants were distributed over 12,854 households. The population density was 3448.5 inh / km². 66.6% of the population identified themselves as whites , 22.7% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 4.2% as Asian Americans . 3.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.0% to several ethnic groups. 20.4% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 44.0% of all households and persons aged 65 or over in 23.7% of all households. 78.3% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.93 people and the average family size was 3.30 people.

30.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 23.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 31.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 15.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 38 years. 47.8% of the population were male and 52.2% were female.

The median annual income was $ 66,403, with 7.9% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 85.80% of the population, 11.49% spoke Spanish and 2.71% had another mother tongue.

The crime rate in 2010 was 276 points (US average: 266 points) in the average range. There were 14 rapes, 22 robberies, 75 assaults, 174 break-ins, 826 thefts, 62 car thefts and four arson attacks.
