Briny Breezes is a city in Palm Beach County in the US state of Florida with 601 inhabitants (as of 2010). The city consists mostly of mobile homes from people who have moved in from northern states.

geography

The city is about 25 km south of West Palm Beach on the Atlantic Ocean . Neighboring cities are Ocean Ridge in the north, Boynton Beach in the west and Gulf Stream in the south. Florida State Road A1A runs through the city . About 2 km to the west, Interstate 95 passes Briny Breezes.

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 601 inhabitants were distributed over 800 households. The population density was 3005.0 inh / km². 99.7% of the population identified themselves as white and 0.3% as African American . 0.8% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 81.2% of all households lived in 1.3% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 53.5% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 1.62 people and the average family size was 2.10 people.

2.0% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 3.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 10.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 83.9% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 74 years. 45.4% of the population were male and 54.6% were female.

The median annual income was $ 37,083, with 5.9% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
