The Acreage borders Loxahatchee Groves and Royal Palm Beach to the south and is approximately 20 km west of West Palm Beach .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 38,704 inhabitants were distributed over 12,926 households. 78.9% of the population identified themselves as whites , 13.3% as African American , 0.3% as Indians and 2.6% as Asian Americans . 2.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.5% to several ethnic groups. 17.6% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 45.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 17.8% of all households. 83.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.17 and the average family size was 3.40.

29.6% of the population were younger than 20 years, 21.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 37.1% were 40 to 59 years old, and 12.1% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 40 years. 50.6% of the population were male and 49.4% were female.

The median annual income was $ 74,034, with 7.6% of the population living below the poverty line.
