The Trehkopf , also called Treh , is a peak in the southern Vosges with an altitude of 1266 meters. It is a popular flight site for paragliders and hang-gliders . The area is known nationwide and also regularly hosts various national and international competitions, e.g. B. the international FAI2 Palz-Alsace-Open .
Airfield
The Treh is a popular flight area for paragliders and hang-gliders . There are several launch sites over 1200 meters, with the launch direction extending from northwest to southwest . Depending on the thermal conditions, it is possible to make long distance flights. In the valley there are several landing sites with a difference in altitude of almost 800 meters , for example in Fellering and Oderen . In addition, given the wind conditions, it is possible to make a top landing due to the large open area .
