Jur Haak

Jur Haak (born November 3, 1892 in Semarang , † January 30, 1945 in Oranienburg ) was a Dutch football player who played for HFC Haarlem , and athlete ( high jump ). He played an international match for the Dutch national football team in 1912 (against Germany) and 1913 (against Belgium) and scored two goals. After his sports career, he became a math and physics teacher in Amsterdam . Haak was a resistance fighter against the German occupation of his country during the Second World War and hid people wanted by the Nazis in his apartment. He was murdered in Sachsenhausen concentration camp in 1945 .
