Juraj Zatko (born June 5, 1987 in Bratislava ) is a Slovak volleyball player .

Career

Zatko started his volleyball career in 1997. In Slovakia he played for STU Bratislava and Strojar Malacky . He then moved to the Czech Champions League participant DHL Ostrava . In 2010 he came to the German champions VfB Friedrichshafen , who successfully defended the title with the setter. In 2012 Zatko won the DVV Cup with VfB . In 2013 he moved to the Polish association AZS Politechnika Warszawska .

After the Slovakian had already achieved fourth place with the juniors in the U19 European Championship in 2005, he won the European League in 2008 with the senior national team . Three years later, the team managed to win again at the 2011 tournament , with the Slovaks with Zatko prevailing in the semifinals against Romania, which was supervised by VfB coach Stelian Moculescu . Then the team also competed at the European Championships in Austria and the Czech Republic and came into the quarter-finals as group winners.
