Yuri Anatoljewitsch Petrow ( Russian Юрий Анатольевич Петров ; born March 30, 1984 in Tolyatti , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Admiral Vladivostok since December 2018 .
Career
Yuri Petrov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Lada Tolyatti , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2002 to 2004 . From 2003 to 2005 the attacker played partly in parallel for the professional team of the ZSK WWS Samara in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. For the 2005/06 season he moved to his league rivals HK Traktor Chelyabinsk , with whom he rose straight away as the second division champion in the super league. In this he scored a goal for Chelyabinsk in 50 games in the 2006/07 season and gave five assists.
From 2007 to 2010 Petrov was on the ice for his home club HK Lada Tolyatti - initially in the Super League - and from the 2008/09 season in the Continental Hockey League, founded in 2008 . For the 2010/11 season , the Russian signed a contract with HK Sibir Novosibirsk , where he was one of the assistant captains.
From May 2012 Petrov was under contract with Lokomotive Yaroslavl and completed 120 KHL games for the club by 2014. In August 2014, he left Lokomotive and returned to his hometown club. In May 2015 he moved to HK Awangard Omsk together with Alexander Michailowitsch Tschernikow . He then played again for Traktor Chelyabinsk between 2016 and 2018. After a brief interlude at ASC Corona 2010 Brașov at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, he moved to Admiral Vladivostok in December 2018 .
