Yuri Nikolayevich Sysuev

Yuri Nikolayevich Sysujew ( Russian Юрий Николаевич Сысуев * 6. February 1949 in the village Wozdwischenka , Primorye ) is a Russian Admiral i. R. From 2003 to 2009 he was head of the NG Kuznetsov Naval War Academy .

Life

Sysuev graduated in 1971 from the Caspian Red Banner Officers College of the Naval Forces SM Kirov specializing in navigation and served in the Pacific Fleet as commander of the navigation section (GA-1) and as first officer on a submarine of Project 613 . After completing higher officer courses in the naval fleet in 1976 he was employed as first officer of the medium submarine S-365 of the Pacific Fleet and in 1977 as commander of the medium submarine S-224 of the Kamchatka flotilla . From 1980 to 1982 he studied at the Seekriegsakademie and found upon successful completion of a commander of a nuclear submarine missile cruiser of the Charlie-class submarine use. From 1985 he served as the deputy commander of the 28th submarine division in Sovetskaya Gawan . From 1979 the Soviet Union leased the Vietnamese naval base Cam Ranh for the Pacific fleet . From 1989 to 1990 , Sysuev, meanwhile promoted to sea captain, commanded the 38th submarine division stationed there. From 1990 to 1992 he was deputy commander and, after his appointment as rear admiral, from 1992 to 1993 commander of the 5th Operational Squadron of the Black Sea Fleet . During his assignment as head of the 31st Scientific Research Center of the Naval War Fleet in Feodosiya from 1993 to 1999, he attended the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces from 1995 to 1996 and was then promoted to Vice Admiral. There he directed and organized experiments with the most modern rocket weapon complexes of his time, such as the uranium rocket complex . From 1999 to 2003 he was head of six advanced special courses for officers of the naval war fleet and from May 2003 to 2009 he was head of the Naval War Academy. He was promoted to Admiral on June 12, 2004 and retired in 2009.

The military science candidate was a lecturer and chairman of the Expert Council and collective advisory body to the Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Navy. He is a member of the Council of the International Association of Civil Organizations of Submarine Fleet Veterans and Submariners.
