Yuri Vladimirovich Dobryschkin ( Russian Юрий Владимирович Добрышкин * 19th July 1979 in Penza , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player . Since the end of his career in 2012, he has been working as an ice hockey coach, especially in the semi-professional and junior sector.
Career
Yuri Dobryschkin began his career as a hockey player with Krylja Sowetow Moscow , for whose professional team he was active in the super league from 1996 to 1999 . He was then selected in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round as a total of 159th player by the Atlanta Thrashers , for whom he never played. Instead, the winger moved within the Super League to Ak Bars Kazan , for which he also ran for three seasons and with whom he was Russian runners-up in 2000 and 2002. From 2002 to 2004 he was on the ice for Severstal Tscherepowez , with whom he was runner-up again in the 2002/03 season.
In the summer of 2004 Dobryschkin signed with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , with which he won the Spengler Cup in 2005. For the 2006/07 season the Russian national player left Metallurg again and joined HK CSKA Moscow . After only a year, the next club change followed when he was signed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . For Torpedo he started the 2008/09 season in the newly formed Continental Hockey League , but ended it at Atlant Mytishchi . He then signed a contract with HK MWD Balaschicha , with whom he lost to his ex-club Ak Bars Kazan only in the final of the playoffs for the Gagarin Cup in the 2009/10 season . After the season, the HK MWD was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the right-handed shooter received a contract for the 2010/11 season with their successor team OHK Dynamo .
In May 2011 he received a contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk, which was terminated shortly before the start of the season in early September of the same year.
