Justin Balk

Justin Balk (* 1972 ) is a singer-songwriter living in Hamburg - St. Pauli .

Life

As the eldest of six children in the small town of Heidgraben ( Pinneberg district ) near Hamburg , Balk founded the German-speaking funk rock band Cucumber Men in 1990 , with which he became known nationwide as a singer and guitarist in the second half of the 1990s . After the band split up in 2002, Balk began his solo career.

The first album that bears his own name was released in 2003 by the small label Grundsound. It includes modern singer-songwriter -music that the artist himself as a German-speaking West Coast - Pop referred. The second album, Golden , was released in August 2006 on the V2 Records label and is more in the direction of pop rock. In 2012 he was one of the producers of the Giraffe album project .

He is married and has 4 children.
