Life

Krauskopf completed his studies at the Kassel Art Academy before 1812 , and at that time he was already financing his living by taking drawing lessons.

Around 1812/1813 Krauskopf went to Paris for training and further education , where he was accepted as a student in Jacques-Louis David's studio .

In 1828 Krauskopf published self-written instructions for drawing lessons. He had previously founded a private painting and drawing school in Kassel, where he also worked as a drawing teacher. In 1833/34 he went on one last study trip to Italy together with the painter Carl Glinzer , who was one of his students .
