Life

K'itura Kristoffersen comes from the Kristoffersen family of artists. Her father was Kristoffer Kristoffersen (1902–1970) and her mother Dorthe Kristoffersen (1906–1976). She is the sister of Simon (1933–1990), Sara (1937–2008) and Karl Kristoffersen (* 1943). On November 17, 1960 she married the Norwegian-Sami reindeer herder Edvind Marius Sukuvara (1928–?).

Later he took lessons from the Danish sculptor Ole Christensen and began sculpting in granite and marble . In 1994 she took part in the Sten og menneske project , in which sculptures were carved directly into the rocks in Qaqortoq . K'itura Kristoffersen's two meter wide and one meter high figure deals with the saga of Aqissiaq and the snake. Her art has otherwise been exhibited in Greenland and Denmark.
