Kåre Nymark junior (born July 22, 1974 in Langevåg / Sula , Norway ) is a Norwegian jazz trumpeter and composer.

Since 1992 he has been a permanent member of the Ytre Suløens Jassensemble , which gives concerts around the world with its traditional New Orleans jazz . In this context he worked with artists such as Tricia Boutté , Aline White , Earle Hyman , Silje Nergaard , Dr. Michael White , Arne Domnérus or Morten Gunnar Larsen .

At the same time, he was a student at Toneheim Folkehøgskole from 1993-1994 and then studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo .

In 1998 he formed the Nymark Collective named after him together with Tord Gustavsen (piano), Mats Eilertsen (bass) and Kenneth Ekornes (drums) . The debut album First Meeting was released in 2000. The second album, Contemporary Tradition , followed in 2002, commissioned for the 2001 Oslo Jazz Festival .

He has also released several CDs with the Funky Butt sextet and is touring with a children's performance called Gumbo for the state cultural program Rikskonsertene .
