Kölburg is a district of Monheim in the Donau-Ries district in Bavaria .

geography

The church village is about 3 km south of Monheim.

history

Kölburg was created as a clearing settlement of the Benedictine monastery of Monheim around 1200 and through a partial clearing of the Kaisheim monastery in the 13th century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1293 as Kolburch .

The previously independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Monheim on May 1, 1978.
