Königshof , still called Königsberg in the 19th century , is a location in the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal .

Location and description

The location is in the northwest of the city of Elberfeld at 212  m above sea level. NHN in the southwest of the Siebeneick residential area in Wuppertal in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district near the city limits of Velbert.

The place is on the topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1824 as Königsberg and on the Prussian first recording from 1843 as Königsbg. drawn. Königshof was on the old road from Elberfeld to Neviges , the route of which is now used by the Schanzenweg .

In the 19th century, Königsberg belonged to the Kleine Höhe farmers' group of the Hardenberg mayor , which was renamed Neviges in 1935 . From 1816 to 1861 it belonged to the Elberfeld district and from 1861 to the old Mettmann district .

In 1888 nine people lived in two houses in Königshof. At that time the place is called Königsberg .

As a result of the regional reform in North Rhine-Westphalia , Neviges came to the city of Velbert at the beginning of 1975 and the eastern suburbs of Neviges around Königshof were incorporated into Wuppertal.
