The Koenigstein is with a height of 2573 meters the highest peak of the Brandberg Massif and the highest mountain in Namibia . The Brandberg massif is a pluton exposed by erosion .
The starting point for climbing the summit is 700 meters, around two hours from the last village. Around 1900 meters of altitude have to be overcome to the summit.
In the first ascent of Koenigstein discovered Reinhard Maack on January 4, 1918 in the vicinity of the mountain, the White Lady ( English White Lady ).
