Body Eater 2 - The Return (Original title: Invasion of the Pod People ) is an American SF horror film by The Asylum from 2007. It is based on the idea of the novel The Body Eaters come by Jack Finney , which has already served as a film template several times . The film is a mockbuster that appeared at the same time as Invasion .

The film is about Melissa, a young woman who works for a large company in Los Angeles. One night there is an unusual meteor shower. Over time, Melissa realizes that the people around her are changing, as if their thoughts are no longer her own. Her superiors and colleagues live out passionate lesbian fantasies that they have never shown before. Melissa finds out over time that the city dwellers are being replaced by a race of aliens. They grow in large seed pods, develop the shape of a particular person, and eventually replace that person. Melissa flees the city to warn people about the invasion.
