The Krepšinio klubas Nevėžis Kėdainiai is a basketball club of Lithuania in Kėdainiai . It was named after the Nevėžis river in central Lithuania.

history

Basketball coach Stasys Mickevičius founded the club in 1992 and headed it as chairman.

In 1993 UAB "Notra" became the main sponsor and the club became "KK Notra", participating in the "C" league. In the second season 1994-1995 of the league C, the club reached the 2nd place and was thus allowed to play in the league LKBL (the third strongest Lithuanian league at the time). Then the club reached 6th place in the LKBL in 1995/1996 and 4th place in 1997/1998. For a few years the club was called “Nevėžis-Rezgiai” and since 1999, after the sponsors have changed, it has been called “Nevėžis” again. In 1999 Petras Staliorius became president of the club.

2001/2002 the club won the LKAL and thus rose to the LKL , the highest Lithuanian league. The club has played in the LKL since 2002 .

The second team of the club "Nevėžis-2" plays in the Regionalliga ( RKL ) in Upper Lithuania .
