biography

K-Rino started rapping in 1984. Two years later he released his first 12 ″ under the name Real Chill , which is called Rockin 'it . At the time of the making of the phonogram , the rapper was attending Sterling High School in Houston's South Park and living in a troubled neighborhood where 81% of the population is African American . After graduating from school, he and his school friend Dope-E formed the formation COD

The real cornerstone of K-Rino's career was laid in 1993 with the release of his debut album Stories from the black book . The record by K-Rino, which the critics attested to punctuation and inventiveness, was characterized by the mixture of hardcore rap and differentiated social criticism .

K-Rino was supported by members of the South Park Coalition (SPC), a local rap group , at the time of making his debut . The fixed reference person base consisting of Ganxsta Nip , Point Blank and the Terrorists as well as rappers from the Houston environment such as Z-Ro and Trae formed as early as the end of the 80s, so that a collective consisting of local rappers who formed around K-Rino was created . Mutual guest appearances on albums within the collective were a result of this development. SPC weekends were organized in the following years to establish contacts and maintain friendships among the members . K-Rino described himself as the “sun” of the SPCs, as he had to keep the group, which also served as a catchment basin for drug sellers and people who have otherwise become criminals, together from the middle.

Until 2002 published Rino four solo albums, 2002's first album followed South Park Coalition , entitled Personal Vendetta . K-Rino did not achieve commercial success with it. He decided to found the label Black Book Entertainment .

Since 2004, the Texan has released fourteen albums. Despite the high output, K-Rino serves a wide range of topics and switches between different styles on his albums.

In the meantime, the Houston native has also had various appearances in Europe and also works closely with European artists. On April 17, 2007, Book Number 7 , which many called “the best” album, was released . This album includes productions by Berlin based Keyza Soze , among others . K-Rino released four albums in 2008, including the trilogy Triple Darkness 1–3 and the subsequent The Blood Doctrine , which also contains productions by Keyza Soze. In November 2009 Solitary Confinement was released , which, together with the Best of Album Speed Of Thought designed for the British market, is his second album in 2009. K-Rino's latest album was released in January 2011 under the title Alien Baby .

The sequel to the K-Rino / Dope-E Collabo album COD, which has already been announced several times, has been available since April 2011 in a limited edition under the name "COD" 2nd Edition. The album tracks are all previously unreleased material from 2006. In August, K-Rino's second studio album of 2011 was released with “The Day Of The Storm”.

In 2012 K-Rino is back with two studio albums. After the lyrically very inspiring Deeper Elevation , the 17-track 80 Minute Eternity follows in September . THE MAVEN was K-Rino's first album release in 2013. Among the 17 tracks is the 5th part, the continuation of the "Flow Session No ..." songs known from various previous albums. K-Rino's latest album "The Rapeutic" is announced for September 2013, which was released at the same time and surprisingly for the fans, together with "Plantation Rebellion", another K-Rino release. In early January 2014, East Coast legend DJ Premier published a list of his "Top 20 Songs Of 2013", in which he voted K-Rino's "Antagonistic Radio" (Rapeutic) at number 12.
