The K7 is a 6934 m high mountain in Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan .
location
It is located in the Masherbrum Mountains in the Karakoram . Its southern neighbor is the 7041 m high Link Sar . On the west side is the Charakusa glacier , which flows northwest to the Hushe river valley . In the east is the Kaberigletscher , which flows south.
Ascent history
The first ascent was made by members of a Japanese expedition on August 8, 1984. The base camp was set up on the Charakusa glacier . The ascent route led over the southwest ridge. The summit team included Akira Kamizawa, Eizo Mitani and Kakoto Takenata. Toichiro Nagata, Michiyuki Matsuda and Atsuro Chiba also reached the summit the following day.
