Ascent history
In 1964 a group of German mountaineers from Berlin (Dieter Hilliges, Norbert Körbler, Peter Lipp, Ulrich Roloff) tried to climb the neighboring mountain K6 from the Kundus Glacier. they used a route over the Link Sar to climb. They failed because of bad weather conditions at an altitude of about 6500 m. They then mapped the mountain on their side, determined a height of 7041 m and named the mountain Berliner , but the name did not catch on.
In the summer of 2015, Andy Houseman and Jon Griffith failed their attempt to climb Link Sar. However, on August 18 they reached the 6,938 m high secondary peak Link Sar West .
The main summit of Link Sar has not yet been climbed .
