KAPO Aviakompania ceased operations in 2015. The information in italics refer to the last status before the end of operation. |
KAPO Aviakompania ( Russian ЗАО КАПО Авиа ) was a Russian cargo airline based in Kazan . It was founded in 1991 and had seven aircraft as of November 2013.
- 4 Ilyushin Il-62
- 3 Tupolev Tu-214s (converted into cargo planes)
At the end of 2015, the company was withdrawn from its Air Operator Certificate due to gross security violations. Previously, on January 3 of the same year, an Antonov An-26B got out of the runway at Magadan Airport during an aborted take-off that was initiated too late . The crew had deliberately omitted checks before take-off and only noticed that the elevators were not working at high speed.
