history

In 1983, association president Dr. Ferdinand Mertens started a women's soccer team with his daughter Petra. Within five years they made it to the second division. After three years in the House of Commons, they finally made the leap into the first class in 1991 , which they still belong to today. In the promotion season they won all 22 games with a goal difference of 168:20. Just two years after promotion, they won the Belgian Cup for the first time. This success has been repeated five times so far. It wasn't until 2004 that the Belgian championship was won for the first time. Of the 26 season games, KFC won 25 with a draw and a goal difference of 161: 9. In the same year they won the cup for the fifth time and were thus able to secure the double. The first appearance in the UEFA Women's Cup was mixed. A win against ZNK Maksimir ( Croatia ) was matched by two defeats against ZFK Masinac Classic Niš ( Serbia ) and Hibernian Edinburgh ( Scotland ). A year later, the second championship was celebrated and the team was able to win the Supercup for the first time. But this time too they weren't very successful in Europe. A victory could only be celebrated against Glasgow City . But they lost to SV Saestum ( Netherlands ) and Athletic Bilbao (Spain). In 2006, the third championship in a row was won and it finally worked on a European level. Unbeaten and without conceding a goal, they were the first Belgian team to advance to the second round.

In 2008 the women's football department moved from Rapide Wezemaal to VV St. Truiden . In 2010 the team became Belgian champions for the first time after taking over.

In May 2015, the closure of the women's soccer department of the club was announced due to ongoing sporting and organizational problems.
