Marion County Regional Airport (IATA: FLP , ICAO: KFLP , FAA: FLP ) is a regional public airport operated by Marion County , Arkansas . The airfield is about two kilometers north of Flippin .

In the Federal Aviation Administration's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for the period 2011–2015, the airport is classified as an airport for general aviation .

Description and utilization

The Marion County Regional Airport has an area of 80 acres (approximately 32 hectares ) and is situated at a height of 219 m above sea level. Its only runway is designated 4/22 and has an asphalt surface with a length of 1524 m and a width of 23 m.

In the financial year ending April 30, 2011, the airport recorded 14,800 aircraft movements, an average of around 40 per day: 92% was accounted for by general aviation, 7% for air taxis and 1% for military flights. During the period 23 aircraft were based here: 70% single-engine aircraft, 26% multi-engine aircraft and 4% microlight aircraft .
